Healthwatch England Announcement

Following recent press reports regarding the potential closure of Healthwatch England as part of broader government organisational changes, we want to assure our communities, partners, and stakeholders that we remain fully committed to supporting the important work of our local Healthwatch teams.

At this stage, it is business as usual. Our teams continue to deliver essential services and support to local communities across the country. We are closely monitoring developments and await further details expected with the government’s upcoming ‘10 Year Health Plan’, due for release on 3 July 2025, and the subsequent ‘Dash Report’.

We understand the importance of your work with Healthwatch and reaffirm our commitment to supporting our staff, partners, and the local communities we serve. We remain dedicated to championing people’s voices in health and social care and will provide updates on our work as more information becomes available.

For media enquiries, please contact our Marketing team via marketing@helpandcare.org.uk.

Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement.
