Healthwatch Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead is the local independent champion for people who use health and social care services. Find out more about what we did during the year.

We visited to observe residents engaging with the staff and the care environment, capture the experience of residents and their families/visitors and to record any ideas they may have for change to improve their experience.

During Learning Disability Week 2018 we helped support Mencap's Treat Me Well campaign by finding out more about how people with a learning disability are treated and supported when using hospital services.

Local Healthwatch across Berkshire worked together in teams to asked patients to complete an anonymous survey and/or to take part in one-to-one or group conversations.

Every patient should be fully involved in the discharge assessment and, where a patient consents, family or carers should also have the opportunity to contribute to this.
